Located near the center of Rovaniemi, on the hill of Ounasvaara, Ounasvaaran Maja offers an atmospheric and authentic environment for all moments and occasions in life. This log house was built in the late 40´s and it has served as a gathering place for locals and tourists for over 70 years. Exuding history and timeless warmth, our accessible restaurant transforms into many forms and can accommodate up to 120 guests to dine.

Our sauna and cabinet spaces are suitable for smaller meetings, trainings, sauna evenings and refreshment days. Our wonderful yard area with a lean-to allows you to take your events outside to the nature. Ounasvaara's outdoor trails start from the lodge's backyard, so organizing various activities as part of the event is possible all year round.

We organize events of various sizes throughout the year, and each event is planned by listening to the customer's wishes. Our professional staff serves at all stages of the event, and our kitchen prepares meals from meeting meals to a la carte dinners. Our meals are combined with taste, uncompromising quality and fresh ingredients.

Event venue and catering

Restaurant, sauna and cabinet facilities, as well as a wonderful yard area with lean-to.

The space rent for the 120-seat restaurant includes the staff, AV technology, house's tablecloths, table map, table settings, napkins, candles, final cleaning and use of the yard area and lean-to. The restaurant has alcohol rights and its own catering. 

The space rent of the sauna and cabinet space includes the use of the cabinet, kitchen, toilet, shower and sauna facilities, yard area and lean-to. You can enjoy your own drinks and food in the sauna and cabinet space. 

Ounasvaara's outdoor trails start from the lodge's backyard, so organizing various activities as part of the event is possible all year round.
